Semi-lug Butterfly Valve for Marine

Compared to traditional gate valves and ball valves, butterfly valves exhibit excellent performance in terms of pressure resistance and durability. Particularly in ship systems, butterfly valves demonstrate extremely high reliability. Butterfly valves excel in the following aspects: (1) lightweight and compact, (2) easy maintenance, (3) labor-saving and convenient operation, and (4) low cost.

The semi lug butterfly valve, as a specially designed type of butterfly valve, is commonly used in ship systems. The ductile iron semi lug butterfly valve is primarily characterized by its valve body with four lugs, and its main flange standards comply with American (ANSI 150#) and Japanese standards (JIS 5K / JIS 10K). The valve body of the semi lug butterfly valve is typically made of high-strength ductile iron, while the disc and seat are selected based on the medium and temperature. Its operation methods include hand lever, gear, and screw. For seawater environments, both the valve body and disc are made of highly corrosion-resistant aluminum bronze, and the seat is made of NBR.

Semi lug butterfly valves are mainly used in ship systems such as seawater cooling systems, ballast water systems, bilge and firefighting systems, domestic water and sanitary water systems, among others.
