When the process media includes oxidizing acids, aggressive chemicals, or ozone-rich environments, standard elastomer seats degrade rapidly—leading to leakage, downtime, and premature valve failure. Engineered specifically for these demanding applications, this wafer butterfly valve features a seat molded from Hypalon® (CSM) —a synthetic rubber renowned for its exceptional resistance to oxidizing chemicals, ozone, UV exposure, and extreme temperatures.
KEFA VALVE manufactures butterfly valve with hypalon rubber seal for service conditions where EPDM, NBR, or even Viton may fall short. Hypalon's unique chemical structure provides outstanding stability in contact with chromic acid, nitric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and other aggressive oxidizing agents, while maintaining flexibility and sealing integrity across a wide temperature range.
